I used to be afraid of the bombs but so many hundreds have fallen and yet I have survived. It has made me feel invincible. The bombs are unpredictable, falling out of the sky like ugly metal birds that can burst buildings apart. They contain metal shrapnel that is capable of shredding a human body in seconds. Often they have chemicals too, as an extra sting in the tail. The smell of chlorine is a common aroma around here. It grips your throat with an invisible hand and chokes you.
